Wonderswan is a fuzzed-out Indie-Rock band from Leeds, UK.
Wonderswan was conceived and hatched under the warm glow of a shared love of 90s slacker rock and noise, nurtured by influences like Guided By Voices, Sonic Youth, Pavement and Dinosaur Jr. Within a very short time the young Wonderswan had played with bands including Times New Viking, No Age, Women and Lovvers to name just a few, toured the UK with Copy Haho, supported Sky Larkin on a UK tour and played the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds festivals. Last year saw the release of the cassette E.P. “I Wish I Was Deep Instead Of Just Macho” which drew heavily on the home-recorded aesthetic of GBV and Sebadoh, adding swathes of shoegaze and instrumental interludes.
2011 sees Wonderswan writing and recording new material with a new E.P. due for release on Records Records Records this May.

“a beautifully shambolic fuzz-laden racket” The Guardian
“Hey Nature is a pure piece of early 90’s nostalgia with laid back vocals and scuzzy guitars, full of melancholic optimism. In short, they sound like avid Pavement fans, but this can only be a good thing” P.i.X Zine
